Whether or not you we want to accept it, we live in a dangerous world and it's becoming more dangerous every day.  That's no reason to live in fear, but it's a very good reason to be sensible about our actions, to develop good safety habits and teach them to our children, to be prepared for emergencies and when necessary to have the products available to us that will help with all these things.
